Jan Wilson - Player, inducted in 1999

Jan's 25 year career began in the 16-inch program, converted to 12-inch and then 11-inch when the USSSA adopted that ball in 1979.  Her 10 year  career in the USSSA consisted of 3 Class A State Championships and appearances in 6 USSSA Class A World Tournaments.

Considered one of the top power hitters in the women's program, Jan hit in the "meat" of the order, belting over 200 homeruns and having a lifetime USSSA average of .557.

All-State Tournament team honors included: 1979 with the Chicago Stingers, 1982 & 1984 with the Chicagoans, Class A State Champions.  1980 also produced an All-State Award with the Chicago Wind, runner-up in the Class A State Tournament.  In addition, this first baseman/catcher earend All-Tournament team awards at the 1982 NIT and in 1990 at the Rockford NIT

Her challenge to all male and female players ...
